The president of the Port Authority, Antonio Sevilla, has participated today in the meeting "University and Business Leadership", organized by the Technological Institute of the UCAM (ITM).
Seville has presented the "Proposal of the Port", in which it assures, the companies must create strategic alliances among them, using the dock as a space necessary for them to be generated.
The meeting was attended, in addition to some members of the educational community of the UCAM, eleven companies in the region that have contributed their processes and their vision on the use of digitization for the benefit of all.
The Catholic University San Antonio today celebrated a new day of the "University and Business Leadership" Cycle, this time at the Los Dolores Campus in Cartagena, where the president of the Port Authority, Antonio Sevilla, participated with the presentation " Logistics and Digitalization "in which he has presented what he calls" The Proposal of the Port ", an initiative in which it is intended that the port infrastructure becomes the lever of development of the companies of the Region.

In this sense the president of the Catholic University, José Luis Mendoza, has made available to entrepreneurs the potential offered by the two campuses that have the University in the Region, in which both academic training, as the transversal, which demand entrepreneurs become engines of dynamism for the business sector.
The vice-rector of Research, Estrella Núñez, has assured in this act that "the UCAM works to create a common scenario where businessmen and researchers collaborate to solve real problems, that is why we put ourselves at the disposition of the entrepreneurs. of University and Business, of Industrial Doctorates and of meetings like this ".
Among the attendees, there were eleven companies of the Shire such as El Corte Ingles, Zamora Company, the Bar Association of Cartagena, Marnys, Interempleo, Mecánicas Bolea, COEC, AMEP, the newspaper La Opinión or Logic E-comerce, have discussed the digitalization as a tool for companies to share useful information among themselves and learn from the formation of the University.
The president of the COEC, Pedro Pablo Hernández, has affirmed that "the university and the business world until recently did not understand each other, now we begin to speak the same language, but for that we must all make an effort".
The executive director of the ITM, César Nicolás, explained that "20% of horticultural exportation at the national level comes from our Region, employing more than 25,000 workers." The academic director of this Campus, Juan Alfonso García Roca, affirms that these meetings between the university and the company are necessary to unite creatives and researchers, with the aim of allowing entrepreneurs to transfer them to society.
