The auditorium of the Faculty of Education (Campus Espinardo) will host tomorrow, February 21, the First Conference on Alcohol, society and young people, aimed at students, family and professionals in the health, educational and social fields.

The conference, which will start at 5:00 p.m., has been organized by the REUS-UMU Healthy University Office with the collaboration, among other institutions and entities, of the Ministry of Health, Alcoholics Anonymous and the Student Council of the University of Murcia (CEUM).

They will count with the interventions, among others, of Olga Monteagudo Piqueras, head of the Service of Promotion and Education for Health, General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions.

Ministry of Health, Region of Murcia, and José María García Basterrechea, Head of the Hospital Detoxification Unit of the General University Hospital Reina Sofia of Murcia.

At present, alcohol consumption among the youth population is one of the main concerns of our society and, therefore, one of the priority lines of intervention of the different policies on drugs.
