Cs requires José Ballesta to submit the draft budgets and submit it to debate in the Municipal Plenary (19/02/2018)

Mario Gómez: "For the third consecutive year, the PP violates the budget law and once again demonstrates its political inability to reach consensus in time and form and in search of the common good"

The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, has demanded today in writing the mayor José Ballesta to stop blocking budgets, hurting all Murcia, and immediately submit the draft budgets for debate in the town hall.

Gomez said that "for the third consecutive year, the PP violates the budget law and once again demonstrates its political inability to reach consensus in time and form and in search of the common good".

"The Murcians," he has defended, "do not deserve a government that only cares about the polls, but a government concerned about its neighbors that solves the problems of the municipality and meets their demands and needs."

For this reason, Citizens have insisted on the need for the PP to present the draft as soon as possible and take it to the Plenary as is their obligation, so that the opposition groups "have the possibility of making the contributions that we consider appropriate and can approve the best budgets for Murcia. "

"If this continues," Gómez denounced, "José Ballesta will continue to show little loyalty to the citizens, since far from changing the old habits of a conservative party, with an expiration date, he embraces them and makes his own caused a serious instability in the Consistory "

Thus, the spokesman of Cs reminded Mayor Ballesta that his maximum responsibility is with Murcia, not with his party, or with their particular interests.

"Its commitment is budgets, and within these, to cite some examples, to solve the illegal traffic of workers, offer greater security to the neighbors, eliminate inequalities, improve maintenance services and public transport, promote trade in neighborhood, and make Murcia a more sustainable municipality, but really, not papier-mâché. "

"If you work in that line and in compliance with the law," Gómez concluded, "you have nothing to fear when it comes to reaching agreements and achieving budgets that guarantee stability, but what you can not continue doing is to delay it further."
