NOW MURCIA has requested today that its three councilors can visit the works of burial of the AVE, "to verify 'in situ' its progress and its execution".

The Mayor Angeles Micol recalls the commitment of the administrations to act with full transparency in the development of said works, "and if we add that it is public money, it seems more than legitimate to make this visit."

Micol points out that "the social demand for transparency and accountability before the citizens in the works of the burying of the railway tracks as it passes through the city, and the fulfillment of the commitments, dates and contracts made by the public administrations" make it necessary the visit to the concrete screens that are built below the level in the ditch ".

"Already at the beginning, according to the own declarations of the president of Adif", affirms the councilor, "they go with a notable delay in the construction of the concrete screens: the 5 of February indicated that they had been built 150 meters, when they had to take 225 meters according to the commitment made by the president of Adif to build 5 meters a day, without having weekends, Christmas holidays and holidays. "

"Transparency, accountability and control of the rhythm of the works," he concludes, "make the visit we request relevant, and it will be a step forward in the information that citizens demand in this tumultuous and socially alarming situation."
