The UMU offers its students, PDI and PAS the possibility of participating in the budgetary management of 100,000 euros, a figure that doubles that of previous years (15/02/2018)

The resolution of the rector of the University of Murcia by approving the Instructions for the preparation of the General Budgets for the year 2018 establishes that, in the line of approaching the administration of the administrations to the citizenship, part of the budget of the University of Murcia will be implemented through participatory credits.

This measure extends the first participatory budget of the UMU that, in 2016, was limited to the group of students and was endowed with 50,000 euros.

In 2017, this participation was extended to the three groups that make up the university community, including PDI and PAS.

This year, the UMU maintains the same commitment and, in addition, the amount to be distributed amounts to 100,000 euros.

Through a survey, students and workers of the UMU will be able to determine to which specific projects this budget will be allocated.

To facilitate decision-making, each user is offered the possibility of distributing an amount in one, some or all of the projects pre-selected for their special impact on the university community.

The total number of projects that are part of the pre-selection is twenty, including support for the disability, the canteen scholarships, study grants, national and international mobility or the RefugiUM Plan to support refugees.

Participation in the survey can be done only once for each user and the last day to fill it is February 16, 2018. The results will be published on the UMU website.
