The '12 months with you 'program, a pioneer in Spain, will offer a different action every month aimed at members of organizations such as the Diagrama Foundation, AVIDA, Afacmur, ONCE, Proyecto Hombre, Astrapace, Jesus Abandoned, Fesormu, Astrade or Centauro Chiron, among others.

The nature park, Terra Natura Murcia, in collaboration with the Department of Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and participation and Social Rights, has launched the new program '12 meses contigo 'which aims to strengthen its collaboration with people with specific needs.

In this way, thanks to this initiative, a pioneer in Spain, a different action will be organized each month aimed at a specific social group that will take place in the facilities of the animal and nature park.

Adolescents hospitalized in minor centers, children in oncology treatment, families members of the association against domestic violence, participants of the Project of Activities with Childhood that drives the Department of Social Rights, people with cerebral palsy or intellectual disability, homeless people , people at risk of social exclusion, the blind, deaf and deaf or the Federation of Senior Centers are some of the groups to which this project is directed.

The planned actions will be developed together with NGOs and entities that work with all of them, such as the Diagrama Foundation, AVIDA, Afacmur, ONCE, Red Cross, Astrapace, Jesus Abandoned, Fesormu, Astrade, Centauro Quirón or the City of Murcia.

The program began with the visit of a group of 10 minors, who have been accompanied by monitors from the Diagrama Foundation and the Terra Natura Murcia veterinarian, who have been able to visit the lion's shelter and participate in interaction activities with lemurs.

100% accessible park

Terra Natura is considered as a totally accessible venue.

The adaptation has been made with contributions from various organizations, which have defined the aspects to be taken care of.

For example, climbing accesses have been adapted, the holes in the trees have been filled, the closures and entrances to the bathrooms have been conditioned, specific areas for people in wheelchairs have been installed and improvements in the hearing system have also been applied.

In addition, a project is being finalized that, once finalized, will allow transformation of the posters to easy reading using QR codes.
