He added that the Spanish university system is one of the most information in terms of figures and data generated, but an accountability is not an accumulation of data, but must be "the result of a reflection of an institution on how to make its university tasks using well the resources available, and if their work produces a satisfactory impact on their environment and in the region, generating wealth while addressing job growth ".

Michavila referred to the key features of the Accountability system developed by the UMU, based on 35 international best practices, developed with a clear language and accessible to all, addressed to the Region of Murcia, very graphic, with many tables, with indicators, data and their management.

It is direct, comprehensive (covering very diverse aspects, including culture), attractive, realistic and useful, he said.

Michavila explained that, in general, the UMU is in good positions compared to universities similar to ours, and highlighted one fact: that while 64 percent of university students are satisfied with the education received in their respective universities, at the University of Murcia this amount amounts to 90'4 percent, and made a tour of some of the most significant parameters of the UMU Accountability report.

"And referring to Orihuela, he added:" You have always done what you understood to be the best thing for the UMU, which is to fight for the best for the Region of Murcia, and doing this has helped to have a better University of Murcia and have a better Region, "and concluded by saying that initiatives such as this Accountability Report" will be very useful for the new Rector and will have the President and the Government of Murcia at their side, next to an institution as prestigious as the University of Murcia ".
