The City Council will offer 270,000 euros in subsidies to associations of neighborhoods and districts (08/02/2018)

The Department of Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, directed by José Guillén, will present tomorrow Friday for its approval in the Governing Board the regulatory bases of the call for granting 2018 grants for the promotion of citizen participation in the municipality of Murcia.

In this way the associations of the municipal boards of neighborhoods and districts can access a total of 270,000 euros, this being the year in which the call has been approved before.

Councilman José Guillén explained that "the purpose of this call is to grant subsidies to non-profit entities and associations in order to continue advancing in the strengthening of the associative movement, in order to favor the organization of those activities that contribute to the development of the neighborhoods and districts ".

"Participation is a fundamental axis of this Government Team, as well as allowing dozens of entities to develop their projects, promoting associations through which Murcia contributes benefits to society and defends common interests," Guillén said. .

Thus, activities aimed at the group of citizens and the empowerment of their associations, cultural activities, tourism, festivities, sports, education, youth, health, environment, cooperation, consumption, social services and others may be subsidized. , the operation and maintenance expenses of the association itself, as well as small repair works that do not involve an increase in the association's assets and activities that complement the performance of the City Council and its Citizen Participation bodies.
