The Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez, has reported the approval of a 5,600 euro prize and the award of correspondents' scholarships to the Youth Information Points at the weekly meeting of the Governing Board.
In this course will be 16 schools in the municipality that will have this free service, with 19 young people participating in this edition in a program that brings Murcia students to all activities, programs and initiatives from the Department of Youth They put at your disposal.
"The youth correspondent is an important figure for the course and dissemination of the activities carried out, projects, trips or courses, to bring our young people and put at their disposal the resources we have and the benefits offered by the Youth Centers of the municipality ", the councilor explained.
The mission of the Youth Information Points is to decentralize the information that is generated in the center to the environment closest to the youth (neighborhood, district, educational center, cultural, etc ...), creating a basic information core preferably with staff collaborator or volunteer of other entities and groups or of other municipal departments, in those spaces and premises that have minimum conditions for their development.
With these points it is also sought that the information and activities generated by the young people of its territorial scope can be transferred to the Informajoven Center and be in turn disseminated to other sites, as well as regularly receiving the specific demands of those young people.
Based on a basic information selected and prepared regularly by the Informajoven Center, a specific informative and graphic material is distributed weekly to said NEPs, and cooperation is provided with suitable supports, in accordance with the technical availability of the Center.
This material includes contents that are also disseminated through the weekly newsletter.
