The councils of Social Rights and Traffic, Security and Citizen Protection of the City of Murcia have worked in a coordinated way today to assist three families who have been affected by a possible risk of building collapse in the hamlet of La Stripe.
About 12:00 hours a notice has been received requesting the intervention of the fire service for cleaning a balcony on the first floor of Teniente Víctor Castillo street.
For this reason, a unit with 4 firefighters was initially displaced, observing structural damage to the building on arrival and, more specifically, to a totally disintegrated concrete pillar.
For this reason, the presence of the non-commissioned officer and the Guardian Officer who have come accompanied by the Chief of the Town Hall Ruins Service has been requested.
Once in the place and having knowledge of the danger, as well as the fact that the property was already requested approximately 18 months ago for the same reasons through the Urban Discipline so that they could repair it, the eviction order has been given before the risk of a possible collapse.
To the place have also displaced workers of the Mobile Emergency Service and Social Services of the Department of Social Rights to assist those affected by the eviction of 3 homes, two of them to the owners and another to tenants.
The owners were immigrants of Maghrebi and Hispanic American origin.
SEMAS has been in charge of coordinating the rehousing of families and offering the help they may need.
Of the three, one has gone to the address of some friends, another, due to its economic capacity, has chosen to seek a rehousing for rent, while the third has been offered a temporary accommodation facilitated by the Department, since It is a family with scarce resources.
