The Murcia Tennis Club 1919 has held its annual gala to deliver the awards to the best players of last season.

These awards refer to all the sports and competition disciplines that take place in the club in the different categories from alevín to veterans.

The absolute teams of male and female category that, with Nicolás Almagro and Alba Rey as numbers 1, competed in the Championship of Spain achieving, in one case, be semifinalists and stay among the 8 best in the country and, in the other, stay at one step from promotion to the highest category;

the combined alevín, that has proclaimed runner-up of Spain with Rafael Segado, Pablo Martinez, Juan Morales and Sergio Martinez;

the team of veterans +35, current national runner-up;

o Araceli Martínez and Javier García, runners-up in the junior world of paddle, were some of the recognized athletes.

At the event, held for the first time outside the club's facilities and that took place in the halls of Hotel 7 Coronas, the prizes were also awarded to the winners of the different tournaments organized throughout the year such as the Social Championship, the Juan Herrera Trophy, the Rogelio Pérez League, the internal padel league or the table tennis, chess and billiards competitions.

Likewise, the Murcia Tennis Club 1919 gave three other special recognitions that went to the partner and international referee Alfonso Ayala, for his career, to Patricio Valverde, honorary partner, for his commitment and support to the club from a point of view. personal view as a professional, and for the newspaper La Verdad.

The event brought together 250 people, with the participation of numerous partners, elite athletes such as Patty Llaguno and Eli Amatriaín, former world champions of paddle (who gave a morning clinic at the MCT), the general director of Sports, Alonso Gómez, of the Councilman of Urbanism of the City council of Murcia, Antonio Navarro, of the president of the Federation of Tennis of the Region of Murcia, José Alcolea, as well as directors of different estates of the regional tennis, of collaborating companies and representatives of the Murcian society .
