The municipal employees will be able to participate in 151 courses of 74 different themes thanks to the City Council's Training Plan (26/01/2018)

It includes proposals on new technologies, sign language, equality policy, and quality in attention to citizenship, among others.

Guillén: 'Our goal is to improve the quality of services provided to Murcia improving the training of public officials'

The Governing Board has given its approval to the Training Plan of the City of Murcia for the year 2018 that was approved at the Negotiating Table last Friday and whose training activities have been scheduled after being consulted all municipal services, union sections and public employees, taking into account their proposals and suggestions.

The request for participation in the training actions convened will have to be presented by municipal employees of the City Council electronically, requesting a maximum of three training actions.

The training offer this year amounts to 74 training actions with 151 editions, compared to 48 actions last year and its 114 editions.

"Our goal is to improve the quality of services provided to Murcia improving the training of public officials in different areas of service," said the Councilor for Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén.

In this training plan is committed to intensify online training, as well as blended learning, taking into account their flexibility and adaptation to the needs of students, facilitating training and eliminating the barriers that limit in-person training to reconcile work life and family

Training adapted to the new realities

Of particular note are the specific technical training actions that have been requested with the aim of updating knowledge and acquisition of new skills, as well as the need for training to deal with the use of new management programs.

An example of this is the Municipal Ordinance on Protection and Tenure of Companion Animals, addressed to the personnel that render their service in Health, or the use of the external semiautomatic defibrillator, aimed at the personnel that render their services in the municipal sports facilities.

Likewise, various training actions will be implemented for the personnel that provide their services in Employment, such as 'ICT Tools for collaborative work in the network', which enables municipal employees to work collaboratively with the use of ICT technologies. information and communications, or 'Midfulness and Emotional Intelligence', with which the aim is to acquire a working approach based on the transformation and regulation of emotions.

In the Skills, Communication and Citizenship Service Area, we must highlight some training actions, such as 'The application of equality policies in Public Administration' and 'Quality in Attention to Citizenship', these two through the online mode.

The 'Basic Course of Spanish Sign Language' will also be carried out, highlighting the start of a multi-year program, which begins this year, in training on raising awareness among all municipal staff about Universal Accessibility, with several days that will begin throughout the year.

The Training Plan has a flexible nature, being able to include, modify or cancel training actions adapting them to the circumstances that occur throughout the year.
