The University of Murcia (UMU) and the Federation of Football of the Region will participate in the promotion of sports, with special emphasis on women's sport, and in conducting research activities on the interrelations between sport and psychophysical well-being general.
This is reflected in the agreement that has been signed by the rector, José Orihuela, and the president of the aforementioned Federation, José Miguel Monje, at its headquarters.
The agreement also reflects that it also aims to boost the practice of university football and strengthen the specialized monitoring of university athletes in local and national competitions.
Another objective is the promotion of collaboration links between the UMU and the Federation in the field of online training, for which the university institution will make available its virtual classroom tools based on Sakai free software.
