Cs will demand this Monday the mayor Ballesta a list of workers hired at the concessionaires (20/01/2018)

The spokesman of Citizens, Mario Go'mez, will demand this Monday to the mayor Ballesta a list of the workers hired in the concessionary companies with his seniority and category, as well as the dismissals realized from the 1 of January of 2017.

Placement agency

After statements by Roque Ortiz and the strategy announced by the deputy mayor of Fomento de José Ballesta, Gómez said, "their misdeeds have been portrayed, and we could say that they have used the headquarters of the PP as a placement and employment agency, at the expense of Murcia's money, and with the clear intention of buying their will every 4 years. "

"But this is not all," said the orange spokesman, "since Cs we believe that these two leaders of the PP could be forcing the concessionaires to have more workers hired than they are bound by their contracts."

"A situation," he continued, "which could also be harming the municipal coffers, since, we understand, that the concessionaires are not willing to lose money and very possibly may be billing that extra cost in other concepts or extra expenses not contemplated in the specifications. "

Check billing

For this reason, Ciudadanos will intensify and focus its audit in reviewing and controlling the billing of the concessionaires "to prevent Murcia from having to pay for the PP client network".

"In the same way," said Gómez, "we will continue to demand and we will take all the necessary measures to obtain the annual reports of the management of all the concessionaires, and that these reports are public."

"Our action", he clarified, "is not directed against the concessionaires or contractors, or against the workers threatened and labeled as pigs by Roque Ortiz, but it is our obligation to clarify if the leaders of the PP have been able to take advantage of their position demanding them to the companies clauses outside of the specifications;

and the workers work in exchange for votes ".

"From Cs we ask everyone to close ranks against bad political practices and help us to dismantle this unjust, intolerable and allegedly criminal system," said the Cs spokesman.

Surely, he added, "they are also victims of a system that has been in place for more than 20 years";

and for that reason "we ask them to help us to end it, in benefit of our institutions and of the democratic regeneration".

For the orange spokesman, the attitude of Mayor Ballesta is being "absolutely disappointing and regrettable.

"After his statements he has chosen to stay on the side of those who threaten and buy votes and wills in exchange for work."

Finally, Gomez has criticized the mayor who "continues to do nothing against the corruption of the PP and prefer to remain complicit in these alleged illicit practices and purchase of votes in exchange for favors referred to by his mayor Roque Ortiz."
