The Governing Board has approved this morning the participation of the City of Murcia in the network MySMARTLife Cities Network, within the framework of the European Project My SmartLife of the 'Horizon 2020 Program' that will lead the Department of Urbanism, Environment and Garden, led by Antonio Navarrese.

The participation of Murcia in this network will last until November 2021.

The mySMARTLife project has received funding from the 'Horizon 2020' Program of the European Union.

This project develops an Innovative Urban Transformation Strategy, tackling tailored solutions using ICT, in the energy and mobility sectors at the district-city scale, together with other non-technical ones to support this transformation.

More than 150 actions will be implemented in the cities of Nantes (France), Hamburg (Germany) and Helsinki (Finland), which include smart buildings, smart grids, energy storage, electric vehicles, intelligent charging infrastructures and mobility services.

To guarantee a broad replication of this initiative, the mySMARTLife project uses a methodology based on the existing cooperation between cities and interested communities, which includes the so-called mySMARTLife Cities Network.

This network is configured by 16 additional cities that have exclusive access to the results of the mySMARTLife project, as well as the opportunity to learn from the experience of mySMARTLife partners.

The city of Murcia has been selected as one of the 16 cities that will be part of this network, and thus be able to benefit from the lessons learned during the development of the project.
