A scientific conference on inequality, poverty and welfare in Spain is held at the UMU (17/01/2018)

On January 18 and 19, the Scientific Workshops on Inequality, Poverty and Welfare in Spain will be held in the Graduate Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UMU, which houses the IV Workshop on Anthropometric History: Inequality, Nutrition and Health in Spain, and in which professors from 16 Spanish and foreign universities will participate.

The presentation will take place on Thursday 18 at 9 in the morning and will be in charge of Samuel Baixauli Soler, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business;

Concepción Ruiz Caballero, Delegate Councilor for Social Rights of the City of Murcia;

José Daniel Buendía Azorín, Director of the Department of Applied Economics, and the directors of the conference: José Miguel Martínez Carrión and Josep Maria Ramon Muñoz.

The inaugural conference will begin that same day at 9:30, and will be borne by Juan Gabriel Rodríguez Hernández, from the Complutense University of Madrid, who will speak on "Inequality, poverty and inequality of opotunities: Spain within the European context".

The activity is organized by the Department of Applied Economics of the University of Murcia, the SALDES Project of the Seneca Foundation and the DESPOBES project.

The conferences have recognized CRAU credits for students.
