Ignacio García Moreno shows his vision of the refugees and their harsh living conditions in "Out Refugee", an exhibition that will be inaugurated on Wednesday, January 17, at 8:00 p.m.
in the Space ES / UM (Paraninfo of the University, Campus of La Merced).
The works can be visited until next February 9.
According to the artist, "The person who finds himself in an emergency situation adopts the decision to flee on most occasions," thus becoming an uprooted person, a nomad full of confusion and "loaded with questions, uncertainty and longings".
Asgura Garcia Moreno that "Art has political power, and without flying flags, in the distance, uses other forms of communication that establish reflective and critical discourses with social, political and institutional actions."
The artist tries to offer in this exhibition "a critical project with the behavior of man, with politics and international economy, the unequal distribution of resources and wealth", and above all with a lack of global perspective that generates a humanitarian identity unique, aimed at solving the problems of man as a species instead of diluted in national identities based on consumerism and the primacy of the West.
