The Department of Social Rights of the City of Murcia today imparts a course on gender equality and prevention of violence against women requested by the Hospitality School of Caritas for their students.
This module has been designed from the Women's Section and is provided by an equality agent specialized in gender equality and with teaching experience.
"Training in equal opportunities in any field is necessary because education is an essential tool to achieve an equal and non-discriminatory society," said Conchita Ruiz during her speech.
In total, four groups will be trained, two in the morning and two in the afternoon, with two-hour sessions each group as a complement to their specific catering training.
The total number of beneficiaries is 100.
The objectives include raising awareness about the importance of achieving real and effective equality, developing a critical capacity on the socialization process that perpetuates sexist stereotypes, informing about current legislation on equality of opportunities between women and men and gender violence. state and regional level, teach the basic notions for the use of non-sexist and inclusive language, analyze the complexity of gender violence and inform about the resources available for victims of gender violence.
For this, a participatory methodology and group interaction will be used.
Based on their own experiences, the learning process and the construction of knowledge will be carried out using an interrogative and expository method.
It will always be done from a gender perspective.
The sessions will be completed with articles, bibliography, webgraphy, or whatever is considered most appropriate for the participants to develop the contents.
