This was stated by the spokesperson of the socialist Murcia, Susana Hernandez, who has participated in the visit to the dependencies of this department, located in the Plaza de Europa and whose doors open as a result of an agreement that should have taken effect six years ago. months

The mayor has taken the opportunity to praise the task performed by the mayors, "some people who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for their neighbors and who therefore receive a symbolic amount of money."

The Office of the Pedáneo, as it is known, is a proposal that the PSOE had been demanding since the beginning of the legislature and will support these representatives of the people and the Municipal Socialist Group will ensure that it develops its work in the right conditions.

Given the lack of diligence of the Department of Decentralization, led by José Guillén, to process the latest invoices for the year 2016 of some municipal boards and the complications to apply for permits on public roads, the PSOE demanded the start-up of this office.

The aim was to put an end to the administrative labyrinths that hinder the work of the 67 municipal councils, 59 of the districts and eight of neighborhoods of the city, when it comes to answering requests and demands from neighbors.

"This office was one of the demands of the PSOE to unlock the Budgets

of 2017 and arrives six months late, although if it fulfills its function, which is to facilitate the work of the parents on a day-to-day basis, we will be satisfied, because that would be a further step in the improvement of decentralization ", said Susana Hernandez

The spokesperson, who has been accompanied on his visit today by Councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa and the mayoress of Aljucer, Ainhoa ​​Sánchez, added that "the Municipal Group has proven to be the only one that believes in decentralization, in bringing the Administration to the neighbors and from here we will continue working until it is a reality, demanding budgetary provision for it, as well as technical and human resources ".
