The Park and Gardens Service, under the Department of Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, directed by José Guillén, has begun the pruning of more than 10,000 roses in Murcia and districts.
With these works you get your sprouting, development and maximum beauty next spring.
"In these dates is the ideal time for you to start pruning the roses that fill our many green areas, a job that is always leaving about 20 or 30 centimeters off the ground to get a good growth these next spring" , explains the mayor of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén.
To develop these works will be used about three weeks and more than a dozen gardeners who while pruning will be responsible for removing existing weeds, fertilizing the land and reviewing the irrigation system to continue saving water in all green areas of Murcia.
Once the roses, one of the symbols of the different green zones of Murcia, begin to sprout again, they will be applied a phytosanitary treatment to favor the development of them and to grow free of pests and diseases.
