The councilman of Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, announced this morning that next week will change the parquet of the Palacio de los Deportes after suffering different anomalies.
We will proceed to the integral replacement of the existing floor tiles of the pavilion between the 17th and 25th of this month in order to tackle a possible problem in the future.
After having started the use of the track for different sports activities, the company in charge of the maintenance service of the facility, as the technicians of the Sports Service, detected several changes in the pavement as the boards that make up the track are beginning to move more than initially planned, or that the transfer of red paint to contact with the game shoes occurs.
To this it is added that a significant number of boards begin to present small failures such as small splinters or detachments of filling material.
For this reason, after following up on this, the company contracted to carry out the work and with the sports pavement brand carried out an inspection in September and a new meeting in October in which the change of the Palacio de los Deportes parquet is determined .
Coello has indicated that "we work so that the development of all the activities that require the parquet of the Palacio de los Deportes are carried out normally, that is why we watch every day: so that our facilities are in perfect condition, always looking for excellence for our teams and our citizens. "
