Citizens Councilman Carlos Peñafiel has demanded today in writing to the local government detailed information about the illegal installation of a telecommunications antenna on the Llano de Brujas football field.
"Apparently," he explained, "said antenna, which provides Internet coverage to neighbors in the area, is placed on top of a light tower of the football field, attached to the electricity network of the municipal facility, It seems without permission, and for more than seven years, according to what was reported last night by the mayor himself of Llano de Brujas, Jesús Zapata. "
"We understand that this company fraudulently takes advantage of municipal facilities, without the local government has done anything to prevent it, denounced Peñafiel.
In that sense, the mayor has pointed out that "although we know that this antenna does not bother the neighbors, from Ciudadanos we can not tolerate the irregular installation and the use of municipal facilities without the necessary permits, besides being consuming electricity that, by little that is, the rest of Murcia is paying for it ".
For all this, Peñafiel will submit a motion to regulate this type of facilities in public spaces and that companies in the sector can access these services by competitive competition, under supervision of the local Administration and after payment of the rates approved by municipal ordinance , in the event that this initiative is approved in the Plenary this month.
"In Cs we prefer to make productive policy and allow its use through regulation, since we believe that by doing it correctly we are benefiting all of Murcia," he concluded.
