The poster announcing the Cabezo de Torres Carnival will be the work of the artist Gaby Guillén (11/01/2018)

The Carnival Association has decided that the natural painter of Cartagena Gaby Guillen is the author of the Poster that will be presented in Fitur next Friday, January 19 at the stand of the Region of Murcia

The plastic artist Gaby Guillén will be the author of the poster that will announce a new edition of the Cabezo de Torres Carnival.

Guillen is a native of Cartagena and experiences in this new artistic stage with different techniques immersed in Pop Art. It is considered as the reference of this style in the Region of Murcia.

The esteutodidacta author, and from a young age he felt the need to draw, since his father, Gabriel Mario Guillén León, was considered in his day as the best watercolorist in the southeast of Spain. He is the author of the images of the twelve apostles of the female third of Santiago Apóstol of the Cofradía California de Cartagena.

He has also been chosen so that this year he is the author of the Festival de Cante Flamenco de Lo Ferro.

The Cabezo de Torres Carnival Association will present the poster on Friday, January 19, at 4.30 pm, at the International Tourism Fair held in Madrid.

It will be the stand of the Region of Murcia where the work will be presented which will start the carnival celebrations from January 20 until the end of February.

Guillén affirms that "it is a pleasure to be the author this year of the Poster of the Carnival of Cabezo de Torres".

The artist recognizes that "it is a place where all its inhabitants turn and live this festival in a very special way, making this one of the most important carnivals of our Region and that when the word Carnival is pronounced, always think of Cabezo de Torres ".
