Fomento invests more than 350,000 euros in the maintenance of the improvements of bus lines 30 and 78 (07/01/2018)

The Department of Development, which Roque Ortiz directs has approved the annuity of 2018 provided in the collaboration agreement between the City of Murcia and the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, to maintain improvements in the lines 30 and 78 of public transport by bus that was subscribed in September 2016.

In order to continue the operation of these lines that connect the districts of the South Costera with Murcia, the Department of Development will pay the Autonomous Community 350,653.13 euros, benefiting some 100,000 residents of a total of 16 districts of the municipality .

This improvement of the public service means the extension of the frequency and the reduction of the waiting times to the neighbors, speeding up the connection between districts and their access to the city center, the hospitals of La Arrixaca and Reina Sofía, as well as the campuses university.

Specifically, the improvement has been carried out in the two lines that serve 16 districts of the southern mountain range of the municipality: 78 Beniaján-El Palmar and 30, Zeneta-Murcia.

Line 78

Line 78, which links Beniaján with El Palmar (La Arrixaca), passes through Los Garres, Algezares, Santo Ángel and La Alberca.

This is his main itinerary, but the service also has an additional route that goes from El Palmar to Alcantarilla (passing through San Ginés, Era Alta, Nonduermas and Alcantarilla).

There is a last section that connects Alcantarilla with Espinardo, providing a university service from El Palmar to the Campus.

The extension assumes that the number of expeditions in the Beniaján-El Palmar connection goes from 3 to 19 (one way) and 2 to 20 (round trip) in the school days and from 0 to 19 in the non-school days.

On the El Palmar-Alcantarilla route, expeditions increase from 5 to 8 in the school days and go from 4 to 7 in the non-school days.

The amplitude of the service is 15 and a half hours, from 7.05 to 22.05, with a frequency of between 30 and 80 minutes.

Line 30

With regard to the service that connects Zeneta with Murcia (traveling from Los Dolores, Beniaján, TorreagĂźera and Los Ramos to El Mojón), on weekdays 7 more expeditions have been launched, going from 9 to 16. In the opposite itinerary, Murcia- Zeneta, 6 more expeditions are carried out, going from 10 to 16.

Thus there is service from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm with a frequency of one hour between Zeneta and Murcia, except in the expedition leaving Murcia at 8:00, which reaches the town of Cabezo de la Plata.
