The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councilor for Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and participation, José Guillén, and the Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, and the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, visited this morning the Christmas decorations workshop that Project Abraham is doing in the Great Christmas Tree of the Circular Plaza.
In this way, the youngest children learn, from the hand of three monitors, to personalize Christmas ornaments and socks and a bag to collect sweets in the Three Kings' Cavalcade, which have been made by the atelier 'El Costurerico' with recycled textile collected in clothing containers located on public roads.
This workshop will take place again on Tuesday 2, Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 of January in the morning in the Plaza Circular.
The Atelier 'El Costurerico' is an initiative of employability, which currently employs several people in situations of social vulnerability of Project Abraham and who has developed, recovering textiles, the ornaments with which these days are working in children's workshops.
The services of the Atelier El Costurerico are open to the general public on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Puente Tocinos, on 6 Delicias Street.
