The court of social number 3 of Murcia has condemned the City as a subsidiary to pay 7,210 euros to a worker from the company Help home for the non-payment of three months of work and two extraordinary payments.

The situation of the Ayudemur company, in bankruptcy and dissolution process, causes the City Council to assume the debts contracted with the workers as stipulated in the judgment.

The councilman of Cambiemos Murcia Sergio Ramos has denounced that the poor management of the PP will be paid three times for the same service: "First the company paid the cost of the contract, then had to help the workers with social assistance before his situation after months without collecting, and now we will have to pay the debt contracted by the company plus the 10% interest ".

Ramos explained that the situation of this worker is repeated in the case of other employees of the company, about 300, so it is possible that the Consistory has to face the payment of about 2 million euros.

All workers are owed amounts between 7 and 3 months, the company stopped paying but was still receiving the benefit of the City.

Ramos has demanded in this sense political responsibilities to the mayor and councilor María del Carmen Pelegrín, as responsible for having extended the contract with this company in May 2015 despite the fact that it already accumulated repeated defaults.

It is inadmissible that a functioning government in full electoral campaign extend the contract with a company that already did not pay the workers and caused them to go on strike.

"It is incomprehensible how the government team has continued to cover the irregularities of home help towards their employees," said Ramos, who recalled that before this unsustainable situation the workers themselves decided to camp in front of the City demanding solutions.

Ramos also recalled that it was the opposition groups who managed to retain the guarantee of around one million euros from the company.

This figure is now surpassed by the cost to which, if it is repeated in the case of other employees, it will have to face the municipal coffers.

"The management of the PP in this case harms all the actors, the users who saw the service damaged, the workers who were months without being paid in a precarious situation and, finally, the taxpayers who will have to support this burden ", it is finished.
