The new municipal study hall of Los Dolores opens today and will be open 24 hours (20/12/2017)

José Ballesta opens the facilities this afternoon, equipped with 50 study stations, Wi-Fi and an Integrated Internet Access Control System.

The new study space has a useful area of ​​more than 120 m2 and is located on a basement of Calle Alhambra, near the church of the district.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafa Gómez, inaugurates this afternoon, at 6:00 p.m., the new municipal study hall of Los Dolores, which has fifty positions of study and will remain open 24 hours a day.

The City has made an investment of 68,768 euros to enable this facility equipped with Wi-Fi, an Integrated Internet Access Control System, air conditioning, as well as a closed circuit television with recording and alarm button, which guarantees the security of the facilities .

The new study area enabled has a useful area of ​​more than 120 m2 and is located on Calle Alhambra, near the church of Los Dolores, in a shallow rented and remodeled by the City Council, for use by students of the district.

In total, there are 7 study rooms open 24 hours with the Integrated Internet Access Control System: Los Dolores, Alquerías, Cobatillas, Los Martínez del Puerto, Sangonera la Seca, Torreagüera and Ronda Sur (whose works have been started ).

To these rooms we must add the existing ones in the Cultural Centers of Monteagudo and Santo Ángel, whose schedule is the same as that of the set of municipal facilities.

Approximately, half of the users of these rooms are baccalaureate students, university students, etc .;

while the other 50% are opposition students.

In 2018 it is expected that the Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage enable new study rooms open 24 hours in different neighborhoods and districts of the municipality, responding to the demand of the Regional Federation of Murcian Students (Feremur).
