The Councilor for the Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén, held a meeting this morning with representatives of the multinational Huawei.
The meeting was attended by River Wen (Director of Smart Cities in Western Europe Huawei), Francisco Cámara Hijón (Commercial Director of Huawei Public Sector), Carlos Moreno Postigo (Account Manager of Huawei) and Antonio Skarmeta (Coordinator of International and Strategic Projects of Research of the UMU).
The goal of the Smart Murcia project is to bring the City Council closer to the citizen, proposing a service model of an innovative city council where the city council approaches and looks for the citizen to offer their information and services.
For its part Huawei is a provider that offers technological solutions applicable to smart cities.
They are present in more than 170 countries and regions, have more than 180,000 employees and are committed to the information society to build a better connected world.
The objectives of the meeting were to advance in the dissemination of the vision of Smartcities and identify the challenges of the Smart Murcia project with the aim of aligning them with the benefits of the solution of this global leader in Information and Communication Technology solutions. creating synergies between both institutions.
