The government team of the University of Murcia is resolutely committed to transparency, accountability, institutional regeneration and ethical and constitutional values.
This is evidenced by the approval of the UMU Ethical Code in 2016;
the recent signing by the Vice-Rector for Transparency of the Manifesto against Corruption of the Encuentros por la Transparencia Group;
the approval in 2016 of some Instructions for the correct execution of the contracted external services, aimed at avoiding irregular hiring practices likely to favor clientelism;
detailed information, through the Transparency Portal (http://www.um.es/web/transparencia/), among other aspects, of the economic data of the institution (budgets, annual accounts, budget execution status, economic reports, financial control plan, audit reports, agreements, hiring and patrimony, salary bands, report on authorization of staff compatibilities ...), the response in time and form of all requests for access to public information submitted to Through the Portal and, finally, the development of an intense training and awareness-raising work of the citizenship in the area of ​​transparency and fight against corruption, of which the organization, together with the CTRM, in 2016 and 2017, shows I and II International Conference on transparency "Challenges for a Transparent Society".
