Drainage works will prevent flooding at the northern entrance of Avileses from Sucina (08/12/2017)

The Department of Development, which runs Roque Ortiz, will execute the project that will allow the construction of cross drainage works on the road from Avileses to Sucina, with an investment of 121,106 euros in a period of six months.

This road allows access to the north of Avileses, from Sucina, by which with the execution of these works will prevent this entry is isolated in episodes of heavy rains.

Thus, a flyover will be carried out so that the ramp runs under the road.

Currently this road, which was given by the Community to the City, has serious problems of cross drainage along its layout as there are a number of wadings that have been modified.

This causes changes in the original runoff pattern, altering the course of surface water, the elimination of the longitudinal and transversal drainage works existing on the road and the creation of new water channelings when channeled between the new plantations.

All of the above has meant that the frequent torrential avenues suffered in the area affect the route of the road with continuous flooding and dragging of agricultural land that leaves the road out of service at many points of the route studied.

In order to improve safety on this road and avoid flooding when heavy rains occur, a factory work will be built at the intersection of the ramblas that converge at the exit of the hamlet of Avileses, with the road that connects the hamlet with the of Sucina.

In this way, it will be necessary to raise the grade of the road, which makes it necessary to build new shed pavements and sidewalks in the affected area.

Once the demolitions have been carried out and the embankment has been executed, the ditch will be excavated to place the pipes that will be made of reinforced concrete.

The work will continue with the execution of fins and rake walls, the placement of the jetty and the paving of the road and sidewalks.

It is necessary to remember that last October the Governing Board has already approved the assignment to Urbamusa for the drafting and construction management of the hydrological and hydraulic projects for the execution of works of passage in the ravines of El Garruchal, El Carmen, Espinardo , Churra, Sangonera la Verde and Los Martínez del Puerto that will allow as far as possible the floods that usually occur during intense rain episodes in our city.
