The Councilor for Education and Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, has attended the presentation of the I Music Awards of the Region of Murcia, organized by the Cultural Association 'There is a Tiger behind you' with the Ministry of Culture, the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia, the City of Murcia and the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation, and born of the need to recognize the cultural and musical movement of the Region.

The awards are annual and will recognize the efforts of music professionals in their different categories: Best pop album, Best rock album, Best flamenco album, Best album other trends, Best Music Festival, Labor Media, Cultural Project related to Music, Labor in the diffusion of Traditional Music, Best newcomer artist and Best Video Clip.

In addition, the Legend Award will be given, to the career of a Murcian artist, to the Yeclana Sole Giménez.

The rest of the winners will be announced on December 12 at the I Gala of the Music Awards of the Region of Murcia to be held at 20:30 in the Culture Room of the CAM Foundation and where Abdón Alcaraz will perform , Hams with Heels, Ross, Claim, Moy Gomar and Egio Jazz Trio.
