"Silencio, principe", first novel by María Luján, second student of Translation and Interpreting at the UMU (01/12/2017)

At 19, María Luján Rubio, a student of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Murcia, has just published her first novel, "Silencio, príncipe".

Dancer, lover of music and piano, books are her passion since she was a child, and she tries to bring those themes to her writings.

The protagonist of her novel is Sofia, a 16 year old teenager who still dreams of princes blue.

When Nicholas enters his life, there is no doubt that he is the prince who will be able to offer him what he has been waiting for so long: a kiss of true love, but the young woman finds out that same day he finds out that he has a serious illness.

Yesterday, Thursday, November 30, and accompanied by the Dean of his faculty, Pascual Cantos, María Luján was received by the Rector José Orihuela, to whom she explained the process that led her to write the novel.

He said he always writes that he has the opportunity, and that many of his writings, including a good part of his book, have been made on the way to and from UMU from Alcantarilla, his hometown.

The Rector encouraged her to continue along this path, and assured her that "writing will bring you many satisfactions that you will not be able to achieve otherwise."

For his part, Pascual Cantos, said that "it is a pride to have students with this talent", adding that "in the Faculty of Letters we look for an added value in our students, and this is a clear example".
