The PSOE achieves the agreement of the Plenary to improve accessibility and help the most disadvantaged in electricity consumption and housing (30/11/2017)

It also discusses a motion regarding the Tajo-Segura Transfer and requires the PP effective and real policies in water matters by changing the message 'Water for All' to that of 'Water Forever'

The Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Murcia, which has brought forward the 10 motions that have led to the House and that have been put to a vote, has reached agreements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities in the municipality and also employment and has obtained also the agreement of the Corporation to help the most disadvantaged residents in terms of electricity consumption and housing.

This has been indicated by the local spokesperson of the PSOE, Susana Hernandez, once they have addressed the proposals presented by the Socialists to the plenary session.

The PSOE has received the approval to urge the central government to assume the expenses of the social bonus for the payment of the electricity bill by consumers considered vulnerable and that they should not be the consistories that deal with that amount .

Precisely in relation to financing, the Government of the nation will be asked to allow the City Council to invest the surplus money in actions and services for citizens.

Also in terms of social assistance has been approved to advance the State Housing Plan with a program of prevention and attention to 'homeless', which will benefit families without resources.

On the other hand, it has been requested that the Office of the Bicycle in the municipality be reinforced and provided with resources and that the parking facilities that remain closed be put into service.

It has also been agreed that the works will be carried out on the Sangonera la Verde soccer field, which is used daily by 200 children, who lack clothing, among other deficiencies.

It has been approved to request the autonomic government to authorize the opening of health centers in the afternoons and, similarly with regard to health, it has been possible to implement educational programs to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortions.

Another of the approved motions has to do with the improvement in the coordination of the cultural centers of the municipality.

The last socialist motion that has been approved is the creation of a Hospitality Business Incubator so that new professionals in the sector can start their business activity.

Susana Hernandez has highlighted "support for important issues for the municipality" with proposals in different fields that have been raised by the PSOE "such as accessibility, employment and help to neighbors who really have a hard time in terms of electricity consumption and living place".

In addition, it has assessed that a joint alternative motion of PP, PSOE and Citizens has been approved defending the Tajo-Segura Transfer and the Levantine Water Manifesto.

"Finally the Popular Party is realizing that we have to leave the water to do politics and make water policy, in short we must move from the message 'Water for All' to 'Water forever'", has indicated the Socialist spokesperson.
