The Networks Program offers the possibility of investigating the role that 'Women in the History of Murcia' have played (30/11/2017)

On Saturday, December 2 will be held a new edition of the Guided Routes that are being carried out with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of the history, culture and traditions of the city of Murcia.

This route exceeds 25 in the last four years and aims to publicize the role that some of the most significant women have had in the course of the municipality's history.

There are several women who, born in Murcia or staying in this city, have left their mark throughout our history.

That is why this visit will show us characters such as Santa Florentina (sister of the four Cartagenero saints) and that is in a beautiful chest in the Cathedral;

Luisa Fajardo to whom the Vélez Chapel is owed;

The Blessed Sister Angela de Astorch (founder of the Convent of Capuchinas located on the Malecón);

Isabel II who intervened in restoration of several buildings, or others such as the painter Sofía Morales or the sculptor Elisa Seiquer with work in different museums of the city.

To register for the activity, you must go to the website www.redesmurcia.es or call 968222701 until completing the 30 places that are offered.
