The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, inaugurated this morning the Murcia Sur store in Leroy Merlin, located in the Montevida Shopping Center, located between La Alberca and El Palmar.
The establishment, which has involved an investment of 20 million euros and the creation of 135 direct and some 50 indirect jobs, will open its doors tomorrow Thursday.
It is the second store of Leroy Merlin in the municipality of Murcia and the third in the Region.
80% of the workforce comes from Murcia and nearby municipalities and has an indefinite contract.

The opening ceremony was attended by the General Director of Commerce of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Abril, the councilors Roque Ortiz, Antonio Navarro and Jesus Pacheco, as well as the general director of Leroy Merlin Spain, Ignacio Sánchez Villares, the director of Store, Raúl Robles, the director of Development of Leroy Merlin Spain, Juan Sevillano, the regional director of the Southeast area, José Luis Ramírez, and the head of Expansión in Levante, Borja Arambarri.
Leroy Merlin Murcia Sur has a commercial area of ​​more than 8,000 m2.
The opening hours of the store will be from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 h.

The establishment has 30,000 references in stock and 150,000 on request distributed in 13 sections: lighting, sanitary, wood, tools, building materials, electricity-plumbing-heat, decoration, painting, hardware and ordering, garden, carpet, kitchens and ceramics .
In addition, Leroy Merlin Murcia Sur offers multiple services such as installation, transport and rental of machinery, among others.
