"Good morning, I'm a client with low vision."
This will start at each store in Santa Eulalia, the general rehearsal for customer service Low Vision, which will be held next Friday, between 11 and 14 hours.
The essay will be made in a selection of fifteen traditional shops in the Santa Eulalia neighborhood of Murcia, which will receive some curious visitors: a group of twenty students from the University of Murcia, who will act as clients with visual disabilities.
For this they will go in pairs;
one of them will carry special glasses that will make it difficult for him to see the range close to blindness, while the other will act as a companion to avoid falls or incidents.
The students of Optics and Optometry of the UMU will also be accompanied by real affected of Low Vision, members of the Association Retina Murcia.
The object of such a special visit is to test traders who have recently received a pioneering training in Spain, to interact with the visually impaired client.
The activity is organized by the Faculty of Optics and Optometry of the University of Murcia on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the University Clinic of Integral Vision (CUVI) and the Association of Merchants of the Santa Eulalia neighborhood.
The Trader's Guide to assist the client with low vision is an innovative initiative in Spain, as is the fact that it is a whole commercial district that adds in this way to the campaign "Here we have it in mind" established by the national platform TENGO BAJA VISIÓN, coordinated by Begisare Retinosis Guipuzcoa.
The activity has also been supported by other entities such as the Spanish Society of Low Vision Specialists and the Association of Visual Rehabilitation Professionals.
