Let's change Murcia denounces the state of abandonment of the Guadalupe expansion zone (18/11/2017)

Cambiemos Murcia has denounced today the state of "abandonment and filth" of the urbanization that exists between Prince of Asturias, the avenue of the Jerónimos and the street Constanza Avilés, in Guadalupe.

The vowel of municipal training in the district, Piedad Fernandez, has reported that it is an area in expansion in which there are many buildings but the streets are paved and the public lighting and water installed.

"In this space there are lots of unfenced plots that accumulate dirt, they are full of weeds and rubbish, and even the neighbors have been able to check the presence of rats and cockroaches", explained Fernández, who has also criticized the "unfortunate situation" in that part of the public furniture is found, with electrical containers without lids and raised hydrants.

To this, it has added the "little garbage collection service" since in the most built part of the area, in which some 200 families live, there is a single container of organic waste.

As for the common areas, the situation is similar.

"The playgrounds are deteriorated, the cisterns are uncleaned and the garden areas are in poor condition," Fernández said.

Reconditioning of the area

The member has asked the government team to act in the area by increasing the number of containers and requiring the owners of the lots to condition their land, in addition to recovering the degraded public areas.

For the southeast area, which has fewer buildings, Fernandez has proposed that some of the streets, adjacent to the avenue, be cut off to traffic to enable recreation and walking areas for neighbors.

"We can enable streets closed to traffic, available for use by citizens of the urban area of Guadeloupe, who need large spaces in which to develop activities in a safe outdoor environment, thus avoiding the celebration of illegal races of cars and motorcycles. , which are held quite regularly there, and will give life to what is now a wasteland.
