The Governing Board has given its approval to the extension of the term of validity of the collaboration agreement with the Public Business Entity Red.es for the development of the Smart Cities Program of the Digital Agency for Spain.
In this way, the validity of the agreement will be extended until December 31, 2023, with the initial validity until December 31, 2019.
Thus, the City Council will continue to develop the Smart Murcia project as an integrative management model that optimizes the different municipal services and resources where the key lies in orienting each and every one of these areas towards the 'Smart' model.
With this the citizen will have an open, interconnected, close and agile City Council, oriented to their daily needs.
The objective of this agreement is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of local entities in the provision of public services through the use of ICTs and advance the governance of the Smart Tourist Destination and City system.
All this will result in a better quality of life for citizens and will create attractive investment environments that will generate economic growth and employment.
