The University of Murcia has distinguished this noon with diplomas of recognition to various entities and companies Murcia for their collaboration in the development of the world's largest Periodic Table and other performances of some studies that met two years ago its 75th anniversary.

The dean of the Faculty, Pedro Lozano, has stressed that the initiative to exhibit on the façade of the building the largest Periodic Table in the world, is indicative of "how a simple idea grows to world size magnitudes in a very short time".

In an act chaired by Fernando López Miras, President of the CARM, along with José Orihuela, Rector of the UMU;

Juan Antonio Campillo, President of the Social Council, Pedro Lozano Rodríguez, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, and Juan Hernández Albarracín, Employment, Universities and Enterprise Counselor, the Dean expressed his gratitude to all the regional entities that have contributed with their funding to carry it out.

The Rector said that these business grants represent "proof of the contribution that companies in the region can make to our university," and said that "you have contributed from your companies to enlarge the Region."

For his part, the President of the Region of Murcia thanked the entrepreneurs for their contribution, and thanked them "for the example you are giving to society."

López Miras has stated that with this Periodic table, the largest in the world, it has been demonstrated "that Murcians do not know how to do things differently: either we do big things, or we do not do them", and thanked businessmen and University of Murcia to put the Region of Murcia at the top, once again. "

The President said that the Region of Murcia today leads the growth in employment at the level of Spain, noting that "every 20 minutes a job is created in the Region of Murcia, and that is thanks to entrepreneurs like those who are with us today "

The companies that have been recognized today with diplomas have been the following: Marín Giménez, TAHE Productos Cosméticos, Estrella de Levante, JJ Albarracín SA, AMC Juices, Hero, Fuertes Group, Hidrogea, Marble Technology Center, Iberian Crow Food, Soap Industry Lina, Repsol and UDEPRO Construction Company.
