José Ballesta defends the "effort of political exercise and dialogue" against "post-truth and toxic sentimentality" (10/11/2017)

The mayor advocates "moderation and loyal dialogue" in the Debate on the state of the municipality and states that "you have to replace insults and disqualifications by pacts and arguments."

José Ballesta confirms that next Wednesday, day 15, Adif will start the burial works and that same week the Social Commission for Follow-up of the Railway Works will be convened.

"In 2016 we developed the City Strategy and this year has been the definition, drafting and tender of the main projects," said the mayor, who added that "2018 will be the exercise of the tangible."

Over the course of almost three hours the Debate on the state of the Municipality has been prolonged, a session in which the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, has defended the "effort of political exercise and dialogue" against "the politics of the posverdad, the toxic sentimentality and the easy solutions to complex problems ", in an intervention in which, on the one hand, it has made a political analysis of the social reality and, on the other, it has rendered accounts on the management of Government carried out in the last year and detailed the actions and objectives achieved in the territorial, productive, social and cultural models of the City Project.

"Politics is an apprenticeship of disappointment, because it is incapacitated for her who has not learned to accept what does not fully satisfy her," the councilor argued, to continue pointing out that "I believe in moderation, in not interpreting the politics as a combat, in not reducing it to a friend-enemy dialectic ".

Throughout this term 607 Motions have been presented, of which 493 have been approved. Of these, 311 (63%) have been unanimously approved.

Of the total number of motions approved (493), 236 (47.87%) were complied with, 167 (33.87%) and 90 (18.26%) were in execution.

Fulfilled projects

During his speech, José Ballesta explained the strategic lines of the City Project of the municipality, "based on the social agreement with multiple actors of daily life in Murcia" and "with more than 200 facts and realities: projects executed, in execution, tendered and in the process of tendering. La Huerta and Murcia River

Parks, cleaning and sports facilities
