Do we really consume what we need in financial aspects? (10/11/2017)

This will be one of the main topics that will be discussed next Wednesday, November 15, at 4:00 p.m., in the Hall of Degrees of the Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the University of Murcia (UMU), during the " Conference of communication and financial education for University students ".

With this activity, which arises from the project developed during the year 2017 by the association ADICAE Murcia in collaboration with the UMU, it is intended to inform university students about the world of consumption.

In this project, diverse actions have been designed and implemented, all aimed at promoting a critical financial education in Murcia with current consumption patterns, both in the field of finance and in general consumption.

Among these actions is the realization of the research that the reader has in their hands.

In addition, the research continues in 2013, improving and updating it, on the level of financial education of the Spanish population.

To this end, we have worked with qualitative and quantitative techniques, with the main objective of determining which is the point at which the level of financial education in the city of Murcia is located.

"Aware of the need to take a step forward with the ties of consumer society in which we live, from the Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the UMU and ADICAE Murcia seeks to promote the development of a new critical and responsible consumer" , point out sources from the aforementioned entities, who advise that before buying and / or contracting any product from a financial institution, think whether it is really necessary and meditate so as not to make decisions due to consumer impulses.

ADICAE Murcia, entity with which the Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the University of Murcia, was born with the main objective of defending the rights of consumers and users against the abuses caused by the dominant position of some financial institutions and insurance in front of the consumer.

In this sense, it disseminates responsible information related to consumption for greater protection of citizens.

ADICAE Murcia is configured as a democratic and participative associative movement in which members and supporters collaborate, participate or propose activities and promote the association in Murcia society for the organized defense of all consumers in the autonomous region of the region of Murcia.
