A new event will allow us to know the interior of 18 unique buildings (08/11/2017)

Murcia will have a new event that will allow to know the architecture of the municipality.

'Pass without calling', organized by the collective Inside City and the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture, directed by Jesús Pacheco, will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 and will allow you to get to know different spaces first-hand in order to promote its virtues and potentialities as forming elements of the urban space.

The main objective of this festival of architecture is to bring to all public the characteristics and processes of each of the buildings that make up the city of Murcia, enhancing its presence and relationship with public space, conforming the urban fabric.

'Pass without calling' is established as a focus where the value of the most representative architecture of the city is valued, which, in a great majority of cases, goes unnoticed.

In addition, it is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand, through various guided tours, the explanation of the entrails of these buildings by the architects of these works, where you can understand the works from a more global point of view and complex but through a pleasant and close language.

At the same time, various activities will be carried out that will enhance the event, such as the established routes of 'Italo Calvino's cities' focused on different areas of the city, and the 'Urban Sketchers' sketched drawing experiences that will take place in different squares of the city of Murcia.

This afternoon, starting at 6 pm, the College of Architects will host the presentation of this event, coinciding with the World Day of Urbanism.

In it, the description of the activities will be carried out through an initial presentation made by the organizers of the event, to give way to micro-presentations of the different architects that will participate.

On November 18, Murcia and visitors will be able to visit a total of 18 buildings that will be open and where guided tours will be held throughout the morning and afternoon.

Volunteers and architects will be responsible for carrying them out in order to explain in detail all the features and details of the works.

Registrations can be made starting tomorrow, Thursday through social networks and at the Tourism Office through a form enabled for this, since prior registration is necessary.

To consult the visiting hours of each building, you can visit the Facebook page "Pass Without Calling" and the Tourist Office of Murcia

The person in charge of the guided tour will be Helia de San Nicolás, the start and end of the route is Plaza Belluga and the approximate time of the route is 40 minutes.

To participate you must register on the Facebook page 'Pass Without Calling' and at the Tourism Office of Murcia.

On the other hand 'Urban Sketchers' will take place in the Artillery Barracks, the Cathedral and Santa Eulalia Plaza.

This activity will begin at 5:00 pm in the Plaza del Cuartel de Artillería

At 8:30 pm, an audiovisual projection will take place at the Cathedral where a visual explanation of each of the elements of the façade will be made.

Through a projection on it, each of its singularities and details will be dismembered, in a playful way and open to all audiences.
