The Treasury, which has requested offers to arrange a loan of 25.5 M € to finance all the investments foreseen in the budgets, has received a response from 9 banks, willing to lend 121.2 M €, almost 5 times more than order

The rigor and the control in the economic management of the City council have received again the endorsement of the main financial entities.

This has been verified when starting the procedure to arrange a loan of 25.5 M € to finance, through credit operations, all the investments foreseen in the 2017 budget.

Nine financial entities have approached the Department of Finance to present their offers, which have added together 121,250,000 euros, almost five times more than the 25,5 M € needed by the City to finance all planned investments in the 2017 budgets.

The Governing Board held today has approved this operation that it will sign with Cajamar, as this entity offered the best conditions.

The agreement will be carried out once the authorization is obtained from the Ministry of Finance and Public Function.

The Councilor for Finance and Recruitment, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, has indicated that the funds obtained will allow bidding important projects planned in the budgets of this year, including: new access to the Segura riverbed, creation of shade in gardens, adequacy of the channel natural river, Interpretation Center Contraparada, recovery of mills, ditches and historic buildings, construction and renovation of pavements, sidewalks and lighting, municipal network of major centers, educational, sports, cultural and health, and enhancement of the Wall of Santa Eulalia, among other performances.
