The councilors of Youth and Culture, Rebeca Pérez and Jesús Pacheco, presented this morning the work of the three winners of the CreaMurcia Contest in the category of Design and Fashion on the third floor of El Corte Inglés.

An example of the impulse and support that both institutions make to the young creators of the city.

"We want to highlight the effort of the young creators to take forward this new aspect of CreaMurcia, with which we managed to promote fashion and reclaim its place in the culture." The Competition has discovered new emerging talents, which we hope will become more authentic artists. beyond the borders of our Region. ", said Rebeca Pérez.

"There is no better way to collaborate with our young creators than to look for spaces and formulas that will amplify their work." From the Murcia City Council, we continue to disseminate and recognize the work of the referents, not only of the future, but increasingly of the present , that increasingly have more prestige beyond our borders. ", explained the councilman of culture Jesus Pacheco.

Artists represented

Pedro García (Pedro Lobo) was born in Murcia, (1983), where he studied at the School of Design.

He completed his training at IED Madrid and at the Marangoni Institute in Milan.

He has worked as a designer for firms such as Ion Fiz, Titis Clothing and with the theater company La Tristura.

Also as a stylist for advertising, short films and group video clips.

Since 2014 he has presented his collections "History No. 1", "History No. 2", "History No. 3" giving continuity to the project, which is constantly evolving, expanding the project with "History No. 4".

The work presented now, under the name "Brute", "has given a kindly fury, strength and has managed to dye my imaginary of a precious darkness." I feel how the eight-legged horse moves my knees and vibrates my human body, wolves ruffle my back, and birds and snakes guide me in the path of brutalist structures towards adaptation. My mind blends with the genre of the pieces that cover my body, the textures reflect my emotions, the anchors hold my feelings and classic cuts give me the movement, "he explained during the presentation.

Ana Gabarrón (Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia, 1990), has despite her youth a long artistic career in Murcia and Madrid, after completing her Fine Arts studies in 2013 and the Master in Art and Creation research at the Complutense University of Madrid 2013 -2014.

In their work, the language of the visual arts and that of fashion become one;

the drawings, embroideries, prints and lines are shown on paper, cloth or wood with the same plastic treatment and the same conceptual search: the memory.

"Funny Swing is the fun of the movement, the" feeling alive "of having the vitality of a child with many dreams ahead, who wants to eat the world without taking into account the responsibilities that maturity is imposing on you, and where the balance of a naive swing transports you to the nostalgia of that childhood that will not return, of that swift and inevitable passage of time in which life becomes, "according to the words of its creator.

In third place Nuria Noguera.

Murciana of 34 years is considered in Fine Arts by the University of Murcia as well as in the Master of Management and Artistic production.

Scholarship in Factoría Cultural Murcia 2017 is one of the great exponents of the 'artistic-culture boom' Murcia lives.

The Delicius collection is composed of three jewels inspired by the four The Garden of Delights, by the painter Hieronymus Bosch, El Bosco.

This 14th century work located in the Prado Museum is one of the most beautiful and enigmatic works in the history of Painting.

Each of the three jewels presented by Nuria Noguera corresponds to a panel of the triptych and synthesizes what each part of the painting expresses.

"By transforming the painting into jewels, into something that we have on top of it, a new language is added, that of the body, for each of these pieces a specific typology has been selected that agrees with the theme of each section of the work", has detailed to the media its creator.
