More than 15,000 euros for the care and care of people with Parkinson's disease and autism spectrum disorders (01/11/2017)

The EPIT-ENIT Association will receive a grant of 3,500 euros for the development of the project "Advisory Services and Information, Physiotherapy and Psychology 2017" to give continuity to the actions carried out in previous years with those people affected by Parkinson's disease.

A decision taken by the Governing Board of the City of Murcia at the request of the Department of Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, which will allow improving care to people especially with early onset of the affectation, as well as those affected by some type of neurological and / or neurodegenerative disease, evaluating their physical, cognitive and psychological state in order to adapt the intervention individually to each user.

From the Association are attended individually and permanently to about 20 people and community level workshops (Laughter therapy, Yoga, Tai Chi ...) directed to family and friends where up to 40 people have participated.

On the other hand has approved a game of 12,000 euros to the Association for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder of Murcia.

ASTEAMUR has among its aims to improve the quality of life of its victims as well as their families, promote the school, labor and social integration of this group and defend the dignity and rights that are theirs, promoting social attitudes in the community.

For this, it starts up several projects, which have the support and support of the City of Murcia.

The last example is the Social Skills and Communication Workshop.

It is a project that involves a therapeutic intervention, educational and stimulation, which facilitates the process of communication and language and the generalization of individual skills to natural contexts in the social environment.

It includes group dynamics, cooperative games, and exits, with the aim of facilitating the inclusion of children and adolescents in the social context and relationships with peers.

The project serves 21 children and young people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Generalized Developmental Disorder (TDD) and other disorders that are associated with autistic type symptoms.
