Twenty minutes were enough for Rey Lobo to convince with his music and his letters to the jury of the category of Song of Author of the Contest CreaMurcia.
It is the time that were on the stage of the Circus Theater before more than a thousand attendees that vibrated with the quality of the finalist works.
The singer-songwriter of Nonduermas, Víctor Hernández, accompanied by Javier Pasquin on keyboards and Alejandro Jiménez, guitar, thus joins a list full of consolidated artists who also made the first prize in this category as Diego Cantero (Funambulista), Rozalén , Alondra Bentltey, Raúl Frutos (Crudo Pimento), Aarón Sáez (Varry Brava), Road Ramos, Muerdo or Hams with Heels, among others.
In this way they won the first prize of € 1,500, with the second prize valued at € 800 for Pedro Quílez and a third € 500 for Edu Martínez.
To this is added the CD recording with themes from the finalists, inclusion in the main festivals of the Region and the possible participation in the International Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean.
It should be remembered that the jury was composed of the Councilor for Youth, Rebeca Pérez, accompanied by JAM Albarracín, Road Ramos, David Moretti, Jesus Cutillas and Juan Albaladejo as secretary.
In addition the night was completed with the performance of one of the artists revealing the current music scene, "Rosalía".
Support for young bands
As a result of the commitment of the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, during the last edition of CreaMurcia, the winners of Song of Author, Rey Lobo, will be the first beneficiaries of the aid of 50% of the cost of the test venues that they use during the year.
A measure that could be extended to more groups in the coming months and which improves the formation and evolution of the Murcia groups and the new generation of songwriters.
