The Commission and the legal services of the City of Murcia have analyzed the changes of denomination of routes for reasons of Historical Memory (23/10/2017)

The Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, chaired this morning the Committee on Plenary Infrastructure, Finance and General Affairs, which has approved the proposal of the Councilor for Trade, Organization and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, new names for the perfect identification of streets, squares, lanes, etc.

A decision that is made following the requests of the Presidents of the Municipal Boards and individuals representing associations, neighborhood communities, etc.

and that now must endorse the Plenary of the City of Murcia in its session next Thursday.

The Commission has decided, inter alia, to name Calle Tribunales on an unnamed thoroughfare with entry through Ronda de Garay and without exit, between the Palacio de Justicia and the Edf. San Luis, at the request of the Community of Owners of the Edf. San Luis.

In Espinardo, it has been proposed to name the garden located at the end of the Avenue Marqués de Espinardo, between Cl. Doctor de la Peña and Avda. Young Futura as "Garden Group Scout Espinardo".

For its part in the Barrio Infante Juan Manuel, the Commission has decided to name what is now known as Trva.

Plaza Rosalía de Castro, with entrance by Cl. Juan Ramón Jiménez and exit to Cl. Torre de Romo.

To this is added the extension of the name of Lope de Vega, to the roundabout where the Avenue of Los Dolores and the streets Vicente Aleixandre and Pintor Almela Costa converge, being a section of the road known as Ronda Sur.

In Puebla de Soto, the Benialé Road, the Customs Road, the Benavía Road, the Garden of the Station and the Adolfo Suarez Street are incorporated, while at Puente Tocinos the Tía Pequeña la Rita Garden is entered.

In La Arboleja the name of Morro Rail is changed by Isidro Lane and in El Esparragal the Guillamones and Melitones Lanes are created, and in Guadalupe the La Libertad and La Nórica Park.

In addition, the denominations of 5 public roads affected by the so-called "Historical Memory Law" have been changed.

These are the roads of Los Martínez del Puerto and El Palmar.

To this is added the creation of an administrative file for each of the denominations that the Commission estimates are affected, about 30 roads of the city and its districts.

These reports will be studied and evaluated by both the representatives and the Legal Services of the City Council.
