The program Networks offers young Murcia to enter the "Mysteries of the Cathedral" and learn about the curiosities of the Moon. Both activities, to be held on Saturday 28 October, are free and can be registered in the web www.redesmurcia.es (18/10/2017)

On Saturday, October 28, the Networks program, belonging to the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation of the City of Murcia, will conduct a guided tour of the "Mysteries of the Cathedral" and then will take place an Astronomical Observation on the occasion of the International Day of the Observation of the Moon.

The Councilor Rebeca Pérez has reported that these two activities are totally free and are part of the new programming.

The inscriptions can be made through the web www.redesmurcia.es.

Firstly, the guided tour will give participants the opportunity to tour the Cathedral of Murcia, one of the most beautiful areas of our heritage but at the same time the most curiosities and comic books.

The meeting point will be the Plaza de la Cruz at 17:30, which lasts more than two hours.

This route of mysteries will show the legends of the bells Mora and Águeda, the four conjurators of the tower, the history of the bowels of a wise king, the skull placed by the Marques de los Vélez or the legend about the sculptor who made the famous chain, the bones that appear under the old cloister, the curious relics of the temple or the energetic point of the Cathedral.

Shortly after, at 20:00 hours, will begin the Urban Astronomical Observations on the occasion of the International Day of the Observation of the Moon.

The observation, whose starting point will be behind the Artillery Barracks (next to the Water Reservoir), will begin with an explanation of the night sky and the objectives of observation.

The main object to observe of the night will be the Moon.

The explanation of the sky with the naked eye, will be done with green laser, so that the assistants, can recognize well the constellations that we can observe from this privileged place of our city.

In the first place will be explained the northern zone of the sky or circumpolar constellations and later the constellations that are in the ecliptic.
