The City Council designs an aid plan for businesses and neighbors of the neighborhoods during the duration of the burial works (17/10/2017)

Roque Ortiz and José Ramón Díez de Revenga meet with the presidents and members of the municipal boards to explain the actions to be carried out, as well as the measures planned to guarantee accessibility.

The Deputy Mayor and the Director-General have responded to all the questions raised by the presidents and members.

The City of Murcia is finalizing the design of an integral and multidisciplinary plan with the purpose of offering aid to businesses, businesses, small businesses and neighbors of the neighborhoods most directly affected by the burial works of the roads.

The program will include actions to promote accessibility and mobility for the environment, as well as other activities of an economic nature and promotion of employment.

This was explained this afternoon by the Deputy Mayor and Councilor of Development, Roque Ortiz, and the General Director of Transport, Coasts and Ports, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, representatives of the municipal councils of Santiago el Mayor, Barrio del Progreso , Patiño, Los Garres, Nonduermas, Los Dolores, Infante Juan Manuel, El Carmen, Barriomar and San Pío X. The meeting was convened by the representatives of the City of Murcia and the Ministry of Presidency and Development to explain the actions that are leaving to be carried out and the measures envisaged to ensure accessibility in the environment while the burial work is carried out.

In addition to explaining the plan of works and answering all the questions raised by the presidents and members of the municipal boards, the meeting has served to report in detail on all aspects related to this project, in order to maintain the channels of participation and transparency with which both administrations are committed.

Regarding mobility, next Tuesday the deadline for the submission of offers to the competition "works of traffic management by reason of the underground railway," whose task will be to ensure the flow of traffic during the months that these works .

The proposed execution period is three months and the bidding budget amounts to 241,894 euros.

To promote accessibility is also planned to open a new road, extension of Moreras street to the road of El Palmar, enabling an entrance lane and two exit.

Likewise, the Minister of Development has explained the initiative of the Department of Development and the concessionaire of the urban bus service, Transportes de Murcia, to implement a new free AVE special shuttle line to connect the different neighborhoods in the area.

There are three proposals for neighbors to choose the one that best suits their needs.

Regarding the integral aid plan, Ortiz explained that the municipal areas of employment, commerce, finance, traffic, commerce, housing and urbanism are part of the program, in addition to the Department of Development.

The plan will be finalized in the coming weeks and will include, among other measures, new lines of support for businesses and businesses, for the promotion of stable employment, campaigns to stimulate and support the commercial fabric.

"It is necessary to start by precisely delimiting the area that will be included in the plan and to study what margin of maneuver allows us the legislation to intervene, especially in proposals of a fiscal or employment nature," said Ortiz, who in any case appealed to the presidents and members of the municipal councils present to be involved in the process.

"The burial of the roads offers us a historic opportunity to improve and boost the neighborhoods located in the surroundings of the tracks and we must all go hand in hand to make the most of it," he said.

In this sense, the council urged members of municipal councils to 'explain from the first to the last of their neighbors what the burial really is and how it is going to take place', in addition to inviting them to participate by proposing the measures and actions they deem necessary.
