Finally, there will be 20 technical teams that will compete in the pre-projects contest for the rehabilitation and use of the building of the former provincial prison, convened by the City Council, at the request of the Department of Development, directed by Roque Ortiz, and in close collaboration with the College of Architects.

This has been decided today by the Contracting Board, which has also agreed to exclude two proposals, namely "Inside out" and "Alas en el aire", which have not met the requirements for the submission of their proposals.

The blueprints that have been accepted are:

NUMBER ONE .- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "JAILBREAK APP MURCIA"

NUMBER TWO.- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "THE CELL OF CRYSTAL"

NUMBER THREE.- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "536H18M"

NUMBER FOUR.- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "MURAL ETHEREES"

NUMBER FIVE .- Draft presented with the motto "SAY THE STARS THAT THE FUGACES ARE US"

NUMBER SIX.- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "OPEN EYES"

NUMBER SEVEN.- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "A PLACE TO LOSE A PLACE TO FIND"

NUMBER EIGHT.- Preliminary draft presented with the motto "ALL TO THE JAIL"

These proposals will address the solutions of integral rehabilitation, options of possible uses to be implemented in the different spaces, urban integration, accesses, permeability, treatment of adjacent gardens, as well as any other similar aspects that will result in the recovery of the space to be treated as an urban reference , tourist and cultural.

The jury will select, at most, three proposals, being able to designate one of them as winner, in which case it will be immediately tendered so that the rehabilitation works can begin in the first semester of 2018.

The project of execution of the first phase counts on financing and foresees the allocation of social and cultural uses, besides taking into account a space to pay homage to the Historical Memory.

The maximum budget of the competition is set at € 21,000, corresponding to the three prizes of € 12,000, € 6,000 and € 3,000 planned.
